Spirit AeroSystems Senior Vice President Speaks on Rapid Prototyping for the V-280
The Bell V-280 “Valor” defense helicopter is a primary example of Spirit innovation applied to the defense sector. The multi-mission platform, tiltrotor helicopter is designed for a range of environments and roles, including both attack and utility functions.
Spirit manufactured the composite fuselage for the V-280, delivering the first prototype in September 2015, a turnaround of just 22 months.
