Small Business Registration

Once you have registered in the Supplier Small Business Database, what happens next?

Spirit employees can access the portal to search for sources when new procurement opportunities arise.

Please ensure that your profile includes all of your company's capabilities. You will be contacted if Spirit Procurement finds a possible match between your company and ours.  More information may be requested at that time.  The Small Business Liaison Officer (SBLO) will also be providing information from the profiles to those at Spirit looking for specific goods and supplies.

Does my company need to be certified to do business with your company?  As a contractor to the U.S. government, Spirit complies with U.S. Small Business Administration's (SBA) certification guidelines.

  • HUB-Zone small business, small disadvantaged or woman-owned small business should be certified through the SBA.  Small and veteran-owned business can self-certify as to their business size.  Service disabled veteran-owned small businesses should be certified with the SBA.
  • We rely on the System for Award Management (SAM.gov) or the Dynamic Small Business Search for business size verification; therefore it is recommended that all small businesses register on the http://www.SAM.gov website
  • How can I find out whether I qualify as a small business?
    • The Small Business Administration's Table of Small Business Size Standards defines whether a business entity is small. For information on size standards, visit the U.S. Small Business Administration "Office of Size Standards" website.

If you have questions, please email supplierdiversity@spiritaero.com and the SBLO will respond.

Please be prepared to provide prompt response to requests for bid, competitive prices, delivery schedules that can be achieved and will be met, and quality conforming to Spirit requirements.
