Spirit AeroSystems Employee Good Neighbor Fund Awards $50,000 in Grants to Nonprofit Community Partners

KINSTON, N.C., Jan. 26, 2018 – Spirit AeroSystems announced today that grants from the Spirit AeroSystems Employee Good Neighbor Fund in Kinston, along with the annual Spirit Suppliers Golf Charity Classic event, will contribute $50,000 to nonprofit organizations in North Carolina.

The grant recipients are:

Mary’s Kitchen Food Bank of North Carolina 

Lenoir-Green United Way 

Pitt County United Way

Wayne County United Way 

“At Spirit, we believe in being a trusted partner to our community, which includes being a champion for organizations like Mary’s Kitchen and United Way,” said Spirit AeroSystems John Beilman, president of the Spirit AeroSystems Employee Good Neighbor Fund board of directors in Kinston. “I’ve seen the effectiveness of these organizations firsthand and I’m happy to celebrate the impact of our employees and suppliers working together to help families in our community.”

The Spirit AeroSystems Good Neighbor Fund is an employee-run, nonprofit organization that grants money to nonprofit organizations in the Spirit community. Together, employees are able to contribute to a variety of local nonprofit agencies in their communities through a tax-deductible payroll deduction.

Checks were presented to recipients at celebration events.
