Spirit Information Regarding COVID-19 (Coronavirus)
The aerospace industry, like the global economy, is facing an unprecedented challenge from the impact of the COVID-19 virus. We will continue working with our customers, suppliers, community partners, and government officials as we manage through this rapidly changing environment.
The health and safety of Spirit AeroSystems employees, their families, and the communities where we work are our overriding concern as we manage the impact of COVID-19 on our business and industry.
Spirit continues to operate globally to support the needs of our commercial and defense customers while following the directions issued by the governments where we operate.
Spirit has taken a number of precautionary actions to ensure the well-being of employees at all of our facilities. These include restricted travel for employees; adhering to government and health agency guidelines; allowing employees to work from home where possible to limit exposure at work; and enhanced cleaning procedures at our facilities, as well as other safety measures. We have also halted all visits to our facilities and suspended community service activities.
We will continue to monitor the situation and make other changes as circumstances dictate.
CARES Act, COVID-19 Updates and What They Mean for Your Health Care Flexible Spending Account
The Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (CARES Act) was recently signed into law. The Act brings an exciting change as it allows over-the-counter (OTC) drugs and medicines without a prescription (Rx) along with menstrual care products purchased on or after January 1, 2020 to be eligible for health savings account (HSA) and flexible spending account (FSA).
