Spirit employees in Tulsa raised more than $50,000 for a pair of local organizations who help veterans in Oklahoma.
“Supporting these veterans’ organizations in Oklahoma is a passion of Spirit employees in Tulsa,” said Connie Law, Spirit’s Good Neighbor Fund (GNF) Tulsa President. “We feel it’s important that we support those who have served our nation and protected freedoms at home and abroad. By contributing funds through the GNF and other employee fundraising activities we are able to help local veterans and their families.”
Partners for Heroes received an $8,000 grant from Spirit’s GNF in Tulsa. The organization also received an additional $23,566 from other employee donations and fundraisers. The money will be used to build a wheelchair-friendly path at the Partners for Heroes facility, along with access to wheelchair-friendly fishing docks and boat ramps.
The Coffee Bunker received $5,000 grant from the GNF in Tulsa, along with a $15,000 Spirit corporate grant and $1,566 in employee donations to help with activities to support veterans and their families.
