Spirit’s employees in Wichita help Mulvane flood victims through the Good Neighbor Fund

The Wichita Good Neighbor Fund approved a $5,000 grant to the city of Mulvane, Kans., for flood disaster relief.

Good Neighbor Fund“When people need help to recover from disaster, the employee-run Good Neighbor Fund in Wichita is committed to helping,” said Wichita Good Neighbor Fund President Jo Miklos. “The mission of the GNF is to be involved in and provide for the communities in which Spirit’s employees work and live. The GNF Wichita Board of Directors felt strongly about providing disaster relief to help fellow community members in Mulvane clean up and recover from the recent devastating flooding.”

Throughout the past several years, the GNF has contributed to disaster relief efforts in the Wichita area, as well as in Tulsa, Okla., and Kinston, N.C.

The Good Neighbor Fund is an employee-run organization with boards of directors at each of Spirit’s U.S. locations. Since 2005, the GNF has given more than $22 million to nonprofit agencies and relief organizations where Spirit employees work and live.
