Spirit employees make $1.65 million pledge to United Way of the Plains fundraising campaign

The Spirit AeroSystems employee-run Good Neighbor Fund made a $1.65 million pledge to the United Way of the Plains annual fundraising campaign.

The pledge was announced at the United Way’s Year End Celebration in Wichita, Kan., Nov. 18. Spirit AeroSystems also made a $300,000 commitment to the United Way.

The Good Neighbor Fund is an employee-run organization with boards of directors at each of Spirit’s U.S. locations. Since 2005, the GNF has given more than $22 million to nonprofit agencies and relief organizations where Spirit employees work and live.
