Spirit AeroSystems delivers gifts for The Salvation Army Angels

Many children in Wichita only have presents to open over the holidays because of The Salvation Army’s Adopt-A-Family program. Spirit AeroSystems volunteers shopped for over 100 unfilled assistance requests with cash donations and delivered the items to The Salvation Army for families to begin picking up next week.

About 3,200 families in the Wichita area will receive assistance from The Salvation Army this holiday season. Recipients must complete an application and screening process to qualify for the program. Because of community support, every family that applied for and qualified for assistance will receive holiday gifts.

While the Adopt-A-Family program is wrapping up, The Salvation Army is collecting Red Kettle cash donations to support holiday assistance, food for the hungry and shelter for the homeless. Visit The Salvation Army website to give to the Red Kettle fund in your area online.
