The annual Spirit Charity Golf Classic event raises money for nonprofit organizations in Spirit communities and builds relationships with Spirit’s supplier partners. Funds raised at the annual event support children’s charities providing educational opportunities and hunger relief programs.

“The Spirit Charity Golf Classic is an opportunity for us to recognize great suppliers while raising money for charity,” said Ron Rabe, Spirit senior vice president of Operations. “The money raised makes a difference in the communities where we work and live. We look forward to seeing the impact of these funds on hunger relief, education for at risk youth and health and wellness organizations.”

The sixth annual Spirit Charity Golf Classic was held Sept. 1, 2016. The private event recognizes Spirit AeroSystems suppliers with a day of golf and hospitality events, while raising money for charitable organizations.

Checks were presented to recipients at an event held at Spirit AeroSystems headquarters. Spirit also presented a check at its Tulsa, Oklahoma, manufacturing location and will soon in North Carolina.
