Volunteerism and Community Engagement
At Spirit, we’re proud of our heritage, but we’re also proud of the way we serve by helping, growing and connecting our communities. We believe in the power of innovative solutions, partnerships and programs that bring communities together.
Each year, Spirit employees and the company donate several million dollars through corporate grants and our employee-led Good Neighbor Fund, and thousands of hours of service through our Team Spirit employee volunteerism program.
Volunteering Across the Globe
Volunteerism is an integral part of Spirit’s company culture. Spirit employees around the world give in a variety of ways, collectively and individually, lending their time and talents to strengthen our communities.

Focus Areas
Community needs often outpace Spirit’s ability to meet them. As a result, we must be strategic in what we support. We typically provide grants to nonprofit and nongovernmental organizations (NGOs) that serve communities where we have a business presence.
Through our corporate community engagement program, Spirit invests in programs that plant the SEED to move our communities forward. This program is focused on prioritizing investments and volunteerism efforts in four primary areas:
- STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math/Manufacturing) and education
- Economic mobility
- Environmental issues
- Developing community
