At Spirit AeroSystems' Wichita, Kan., repair station, we have provided customer support for nacelle repairs for years. Our repair station specializes in thrust reverser repair and overhaul. It also provides a complete range of maintenance services on nose cowls, fan cowls, core cowls, and pylon structures on many of the Boeing programs.

Now we have expanded the capabilities of our repair center to include fuselage doors, structural components and modification kits. And, these capabilities will be mirrored in Prestwick, Scotland (due online mid-2008). We also have plans to open a J.V. facility near Xiamen, China. This state-of-the-art composite repair facility is a venture with HAECO, TAECO, First Wave MRO, Cathay Pacific, and China Airlines, and will be operational in mid-2009.

Spirit's expertise and experience in composite repair of complex contoured components and restoring acoustic integrity are known throughout the world. We are uniquely positioned as the original production manufacturer, with a complete complement of tooling, for both lay up and assembly of our entire nacelle capability component list (see below).

The way we deliver on these and all of our services is driven by two customer-focused goals: exceptional quality and shortest turnaround time possible.

Our FAA and EASA certified Repair Center also works on flight-control devices for service bulletin compliance, as well as under-wing components for domestic and international customers. On-site service is another specialty. Repair technicians, as well as engineers, go directly to wherever our customers need them to help with certification support and stand-alone field modifications and repairs. Our on-site commitment and capability have proven particularly valuable to our international customers.

Repair Station Team

Our Wichita, Kan., repair station team (FAA #Z6WR336Y, EASA #145.5939) has highly qualifed technicians who can repair complex contoured metal and composite components for thrust reversers and nacelles on all the Boeing programs. Their ability to restore acoustic integrity and perform overhauls to nacelle structures is known throughout the aviation industry. This team can also be deployed at a moment's notice to support field service requirements around the world.
