The Spirit Nashville Design Center (SNDC) opened in the spring of 2012 and is a critical engineering resource for Spirit on a variety of current and future programs. The SNDC was developed to provide additional capability to augment the large product design engineering communities in Wichita, Kan., Tulsa, Okla. and Prestwick, Scotland, as well as the product support team in Kinston, N.C. The SNDC team consists primarily of product designers and analysts to support Spirit design/build programs. The Design Center is focused on new product development and is currently working on the Airbus A350 program as well as military development programs.

The SNDC collaborates with the customer in Toulouse France, Spirit engineers in Wichita, Kan, and the Spirit manufacturing team in Kinston, N.C. to develop sub-sections of the A350-1000 fuselage.

Military Programs

The NDC also supports US Department of Defense activities.
